Hugo Arcier was born in Montpellier (France), in 1976.
Works and lives in Paris.
As a digital artist, he has worked on the visual effects of several feature films, including Un long dimanche de fiançailles (2004) (A Very Long Engagement) of Jean-Pierre Jeunet.
As a video artist, his research is mainly graphical, sometimes close to abstraction.
In his videos, he uses a wide range of digital tools, as 3D computer images, compositing...
His universe takes form from the daily life, but he transforms it, he distorts it : time expansation, broken down movement, moving shapes, transparency, ghost-like shapes, hypnotic motifs, palindromic editing, refinement of the picture...

Hugo Arcier is a video artist of Magda Danysz gallery since 2006.
